The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service at North Manchester General Hospital provides a calm and comfortable environment for anyone affected by cancer to discuss any concerns or questions they might have. Staffed by the Macmillan Information & Support team, the service aims to provide a valuable resource to the local community, offering a wide range of services to people diagnosed with cancer every year and those living with and beyond cancer in North Manchester. We operate a drop in, telephone and email support service and no formal referral is necessary. If you or anyone you know is affected by cancer, we are here for you. We offer: Information, referrals and signposting to a range of cancer support services; Referrals and signposting to benefits advice services; Grant applications (Macmillan, Turn2Us and others); Signposting to local support groups; Information on local health and wellbeing activities; Referrals and signposting to counselling services; Fundraising activities.
